The examples below use the current prices of classroom-based Category B courses at KopaMa in Wrocław. The main price difference is between manual and automatic training.

Category B course – manual transmission

The course includes 30 lesson periods of theory, 30 full hours of practical driving instruction, learning materials and internal assessments.

Mandatory costs outside the course fee

The course fee is not the only expense. You should also allow for the medical examination, state tests, the licence issue fee and a photograph.

What can increase the final cost?

The total may rise if you need additional lessons, another test attempt or use of a school car for the practical test.

Additional driving lessons

PLN 180 or PLN 150 for KopaMa learners

An additional Category B lesson in a manual or automatic car costs PLN 180. The price for KopaMa learners is PLN 150 per hour.

Another theory test

Each further theory test attempt requires the test fee to be paid again.

Each further Category B practical test attempt requires the current practical test fee to be paid again.

Use of a school car for the test

PLN 360 or PLN 300 for KopaMa learners

Use of a KopaMa car for a practical test at DORD costs PLN 360, or PLN 300 for KopaMa learners. The classroom-based automatic course includes one use of the car for the state practical test.

A long break in training

After a longer break, some learners choose refresher lessons before taking the practical test.

Manual course

After passing the test in a manual car, you may drive both manual and automatic cars.

Automatic course

An automatic transmission removes clutch control and manual gear changes, allowing more attention to be given to traffic. The resulting licence is restricted to automatic-transmission vehicles. The course includes one use of the school car for the state practical test.

Does the course fee include the state tests?

No. Theory and practical test fees are paid separately to DORD. The classroom-based automatic course does, however, include one use of the school car for the state practical test.
